Story

FrameSaver turns any web browser, smart TV, or Samsung Frame TV into a rotating screensaver of high quality, openly licensed photography and art. No USB, no subscription.

The library is curated and commercially safe by design: National Park Service public domain photography, ESO, NOIRLab, Hubble, and Webb space imagery under CC BY, Smithsonian and Wikimedia open access, and Openverse. Every photo carries an attribution overlay that satisfies CC BY, and an operator approval step means users only ever see vetted images. You can favorite photos, upload your own, and organize them into folders.

TV login is phone-first. Scan a QR code, enter a 6-digit code from your email on your phone, and the TV authenticates itself. No typing on a remote.

A detail I am proud of: the whole project has its own inbox running on Cloudflare, set up using their email for agents approach. Spinning up a working inbox this way was so much easier than standing up yet another Google Workspace account, and it lets both the operator and the AI assistant read and send mail for the project.
